The following is a statement of FSP’s probate, administration and Court of Protection experience. The matters are described in general terms to protect confidentiality. Administration of
estates

Acting both as and for executors in connection with the administration of estates including a large number of estates of over £1m. Dealing with the calculation of inheritance tax, the collection in of assets and the distribution of the estate following the grant of representation.
 

Probate Applications

Preparing and lodging applications for probate where executors do not require a full administration service from us. Including applications for several hundred grants of probate each year for a national trust company.
 

Court of Protection
Receiverships

Acting as receivers for a number of patients of the Court of Protection including being appointed as panel receivers by the Court and administering the affairs of a number of patients following appointment by the court.
 

Other Court
Appointments

Acting as administrators of estates following appointment by the court including appointments to act as Administrators pending suit where proceedings relating to estates are pending in the Chancery Division.
 

STEP Membership

Through our membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners acting for clients referred to us by reason of that membership.
