Sue joined Field Seymour Parkes in 1989, becoming a partner in April 1997. Sue has wide-ranging experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property, partnership law (including limited liability partnerships) and e-commerce. Sue advises on research and design collaborations as well as trade marks, branding, patents, copyright protection and data protection. Sue acts for a wide variety of companies who use the internet as their prime mode of operation from start-ups to international operations. Sue also acts for a number of well-known charities and has been involved in the setting up of a major charitable foundation and a new city academy. Sue is a regular speaker at external and internal seminars and is a member of the British Computer Society.

Nick qualified as a solicitor in 1994, joining FSP in 2003 from a large central London practice where he specialised in commercial property transactions. Nick deals with a wide range of property matters including high value acquisitions and disposals, complex overage arrangements and landlord and tenant matters. Nick’s experience is reflected in the range of specialist groups of which he is a member. As well as playing a prominent role in the firm’s mainstream commercial property groups, Nick is a member of the firm’s charities group and the small business group.

Russell did his training at FSP qualifying in 2000. Russell deals with a broad range of contentious matters acting for companies and individuals. He specialises in property disputes and heads up the firm’s property dispute group. Russell deals with contested leasehold enfranchisement applications and acts in possession proceedings. Russell also acts for a number of charities advising generally on property disputes and providing advice on landlord and tenant matters.

Catherine Heard joined Field Seymour Parkes as a trainee solicitor in September 2005 and qualified as a solicitor into the Probate, Wills and Trusts Team in September 2007. Catherine currently assists the other members of the Team on a range of matters including drafting wills, statutory declarations, oaths, enduring powers of attorney, and declarations of trust, and the preparation of inheritance tax accounts.

Claire advises on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters acting for both employers and employees, including advising employees on compromise agreements, drafting contracts of employment, directors’ service agreements and preparing tribunal claims. As part of the small business group and charities and not-for-profit organisations group, Claire has a particular interest in providing practical employment advice to small businesses and charities.
